National Student Advertising Competition: Overview :: Presentation Details
About the District XI NSAC:

District XI of the American Advertising Federation includes the states of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. Each of AAF's districts chooses a representative to compete in the national finals, this year to be held in Orlando, Florida on June 10-11.

District XI of the AAF is a federation of local advertising clubs within our geographic area. In addition to hosting our District Student Competition, the clubs are meeting for their Annual Conference and business meeting. The Awards Ceremony on Friday night honors the achievements of the clubs as well as announcing the District representative to the national competition.

About the procedure:

Your team should plan to arrive in Boise around 5:30 or 6:00 pm on Thursday,  April 22. We will have a welcome reception at 6:30 at a locaction to be determined.

At 7:45 we will hold a meeting of just the advisor and team captain of each team. In this meeting, we discuss policies and procedure and other competition details. We also draw for presentation order at this time.

At the conclusion of this meeting, your team will have 15 minutes in your presentation room to meet with a technician, check cables, lighting etc. Competition Rooms will be equipped for the competition on Friday.

Please be sure to check the list of AV equipment provided (Click here)
to make sure you will have the equipment you need. (As long as it is allowable in the P&P)

This is not a rehearsal time. This is to make sure your AV equipment is working and for you to adjust your presentation based on the setup of the room. Tech Checks run simultaneously in each room in presentation order.

About the day of competition:

Each team will have access to your competition room approximately 30 minutes prior to your presentation to set up. Another team will be presenting in the other competition room.

You may watch the other presentations. There is no admission charge to watch the presentations. Friends and family are welcome. There is a charge for all meals and other events. This is covered for all "full access" registrants.

As mentioned above, the Awards Banquet is a District-wide event. We honor clubs and individuals as well as your NSAC achievements.

About the judges' critique:

On Saturday morning, each team will have a private 15 minute session with the competition judges to get feedback for your campaign. This is designed as a constructive critique, not a justification for their placement/selection. These sessions will be held in presentation order.
